HE WAS "THE BEST! A CONSTANT IN MY LIFE WHO MADE THE GOLF WORLD A BETTER PLACE."

By Barbara Rice, Chula Vista, CA

Bill Nary had a BIG impact on my golf career! After my first lesson in March, 1972, he was so enthused he wrote an article for the San Diego Tribune saying "She's the best lady golf prospect I've seen in my 40 years in the game." He would invite me to be his partner in pro-ams around the county and wrote a letter to Johnny Revolta, top LPGA teacher at Mission Hills C.C. in Rancho Mirage, CA, asking him to accept me as his pupil in 1977 to further my golf career. We had a friendship that lasted from 1972-2012. I was by his side as he took his last breath. He was and always will be one of my very dearest friends. I will miss spending Christmas Eve with Cathy and Bill Nary which was our "family tradition." Bill was blessed and he was deserving of his amazing life. I was so proud to be his golf student and friend. I love you, Bill.
